As a content marketer (and dare I say ContentOpps person), I’ve written a variety of articles for international and stateside clients since 2009. The styles and length (300-2,000 words) vary depending on the client’s goals, voice, and scope of work. Often, I’m assigned a byline but I also ghostwrite.
When ghostwriting, I match the writing style with their brand voice, local spelling (Cheers, UK!), and local idioms. If the company doesn’t have brand guidelines regarding their voice and tonality, I read their website and mirror it. The goal is to amplify their purpose and keep visitors coming back. Of course, each article has SEO best practices in mind — with a few of my own intuitive strategies.
You can’t post online if you don’t have blog posts, right? I’ve been fortunate to work with some of the best companies in tech, as well as small businesses. Building brand awareness and education with small businesses in the tech space is my why.
Over the last twenty years, I’ve written for these industries: Automotive, Beauty, Construction and Engineering, eCommerce, Event Planning, Franchise Development, Gaming, Website Hosting, Life Coaching, Magento Plugins, Nonprofits, Real Estate, Social Media, Tech, Travel, Video Marketing, WordPress, an IPv4 Broker, and probably some that I’ve forgotten.
My nonfiction books can be found on Amazon.
