Learning Twitter: Lesson 3 Following People by Interest

Learning Twitter can be overwhelming. But, as with any task, breaking it down into smaller parts helps considerably. This is lesson three in a ten-part series.

In this five minute screencast, I cover why you should follow people by interest and how to put them on a list.

Following by Interest

You can find people by interest by using a hashtag like #flower, #tulips, #florist. A hashtag is simply a search term.

Creating a list by topic is good for any industry. Brick and mortar businesses may want to choose parallel industries to follow. Think about your referral base. For example, a contractor may get referrals from real estate agents. Those are great people to follow and list.

Good luck and don’t forget to have fun.
